| Overview:The client appointed Colson Stone Landscape Practice initially to produce a simple planting scheme to the main house and lake. But once the work started the brief was extended to the whole 30 acre site and the design team was able to incorporate the following features: Water features – Restoration to upper and lower lakes, water cascade, rill, various reflection pools and fountains. Paving: Natural stone terraces, pathways, lake steps. Gravel and brick pathways, macadam driveways with resin bonded gravel. Garden Features: Grotto and rockery, boathouse, timber pergolas, all weather tennis court, extensive lighting, irrigation and bases for various sculptures & art work.
